Bullets
Mark J. Norton
I was listening to the Bulgarian underground sensation, A Rumored Saint, eating a correctly-titled Armour hotdog, when the urge to interview 19-year-olds from Pasadena, California swept over me. I walked—nay, ran— down to the record store and purchased the debut LP by Chrysalis Records’ Armored Saint.

SLAVING AWAY WITH IRON MAIDEN
Karen Schlosberg
Catching up to Iron Maiden along the road of the band’s 13-month, 28-country “World Slavery Tour” is not the easiest thing we’ve ever had to do. The strenuous nature of the band’s schedule leaves you wondering whether it’s the world or the band that’s the slave.
METAL Q & A ROCKIN' WITH DOKKEN!
Bill Holdship
This month, from a recent interview in Washington, DC.: Dokken (Don Dokken, lead vocals: George Lynch, lead guitar: Jeff Pilson, bass, and Mick Brown, drums). Your record company bio said there's a lot of tension within the band. DON: I think there’s tension in the band which just means that we’re always striving for the best.
TWISTED SISTER: HOW MUCH WOULD YOU PAY FOR THIS BAND NOW?
Renaldo Migaldi
Ladies and gentlemen. I give you Twisted Sister. You've heard their songs. you've seen their videos, and maybe you've even caught their live show. The sight of their lead singer, Dee Snider. who's big and tall and tough and loud and wears stone-age clown makeup and long flowing blond curly locks-the sight, shall we say, stirs your imagination.

COOL AIN'T JUST A TEMPERATURE
Rick Johnson
Oftentimes, the record industry seems as bland and utilitarian as the bell and pad alarm method of bedwetting prevention. One bunch of drudges adds up columns of figures in windowless rooms while another bunch blows hot balloon juice at each other in the boardroom.
WENDYO.: METAL NIGHTS
Edouard Dauphin
Clad in black leather, Wendy O. Williams slips behind the steering wheel of her 1972 white Cadillac convertible, guns the engine and we cruise off onto the highways of the night. In skull cap and opere cape, The Dauph sits huddled in the car's back seat, sipping anxiously from a gold flask of overproof rum.
LOOK AT THAT! THE NEW WAVE OF HEAVY METAL VIDEOS
Rick Johnson
It sure has been another wonderful television season, hasn't it? There was the gala debut of TV's Funniest Game Show Moments, the fascinating fridgedragging contest between Jim Brown and Franco Harris and an all-new Spray ’n’ Vac commercial from those forward thinkers at Glamorene.
BRITMETAL 1985: Thank U For The Daze
Sylvie Simmons
As I write, the mere shadow of what was once Ozzy Osbourne—proud, free, fat, feared by the beasts of the field—is wandering about, clutching his fur coat to his ribs, yet another victim (Elizabeth Taylor, Tony Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis too, by the looks of her) of the Betty Ford Dryout Home.
RECORDS
W.A.S.P. (Capitol) It would be fine, indeed, to report that W.A.S.P.—the debut album of W.A.S.P.—is strikingly original, both in concept and execution. To note, for example, that Blackie Lawless’s uncanny knack for an anthem (e.g., "I Wanna Be Somebody,” “School Daze” and—especially—“Hellion") is a sufficient reason to regard this band as heavyweight talents with a guaranteed future.
TREAT 'EM NICE!
Everyone knows that Elvis Presley, the King of rock ’n’ roll, was deeply into psychic phenomena and—in fact— often predicted the future in song, just for kicks! His niftiest bit of soothsaying? “Don’t you ever Kiss me once, Kiss me twice,” which we can now state with confidence meant that Elvis was actually saying:
