HAVE FAITH IN GEORGE MICHAEL

When the duo of Wham!—George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley—parted ways in 1986, a million and one hearts broke over the group’s (somewhat amicable) split. Fans the world over wondered if it would be the end of seeing their favorite stars perform again. While Ridgeley resumed a career (hobby?) in race car driving in Europe, George Michael stayed true to his craft: songwriting, singing and performing. As evidenced by Michael’s first solo LP since his Wham! days, Faith is proving to be a monstrous hit for him! Singles like “I Want Your Sex” and “Faith” are establishing Michael as a successful solo artist—possibly even bigger than Wham! Could it be possible? Apparently so! The question of where George Michael’s music career would go is no longer unanswered.
