I Would like to bring to your attention a tragedy that happened recently at Tabatha coffee house. Charly Butterworth, a fine respected folk singer, came to Detroit because he, as soon as everybody in the states will, realized that it is here that music is happening. Consonant of what Charly is like he came to Detroit and sat in Metro Airport on the floor playing for the people. He had no place to go (And having the wonderful Freaks we do have in Detroit) some kids came along and took him home as a pet. One of these Freaks called me up and asked me to give him a job. Of course I jumped at the chance to give Charly the small amount I am allowed to pay instead of filling the Birmingham and Palmer Park folk singers pockets.
